McDonald's to sponsor new bins at the harbour?

Highland council is hopeful that the newly announced McDonald's outlet in Nairn might sponsor some extra bins at the harbour.

A council spokesperson stated 'it's likely that 99% of the customers of the new takeaway are likely to take their food to eat at Nairn harbour and clearly we need to cope with all the extra rubbish that'll create'.

At the time of going to press the Spin was unable to obtain a quote from McDonald's.

Meanwhile on a well known Nairn social media site some Nairnites expressed their surprise when the manager of a well known fine dining establishment stated that he and his staff quite often went through to Inverness in order to eat at a McDonald's post their shift.

With his endorsement of the restaurant chain we hope he doesn't lose too many customers when the new branch opens in Nairn.
