The extended family of badgers are less than happy (as highlighted on the Gurn report now redacted by Highland Council, see link below).
They and their ancestors have probably lived on this land near Lochloy Road for centuries. It's owned by Cllr Liz MacDonald and is about to be sold as a major housing development.
Some think the badgers could be moved, but what happens to them then?
Will they become unwelcome fakebadgergees as happens to some humans when they try and escape conflict?
The badgers aren't sitting in their homes and doing nothing. A protest group is being started, badgers against development #BAD. We will of course support them all the way.
Meanwhile on the Lochloy Road/A96 junction there are suggestions that BEAR have recently adjusted the settings of the traffic lights to give a longer time to those vehicles exiting Lochloy Road and by doing so have caused the majority of the tail backs in Nairn.
