Lochloy roundabout

Scunnered with the volume of calls complaining about the volume of traffic at the Lochloy/A96 junction Highland Council have released an artist's impression of a roundabout that they hope to build next year.

Money for the project will come from developers and landowners along the Lochloy Road and is projected to cost £1.5B.

Due to a lack of space the council will issue compulsory purchase orders for around twenty homes situated near the junction in order to build the new road scheme.

If successful the council plan to look at building other roundabouts in Nairn.
