Trends for 2018?

Belly Dancing. It's nearly 10 years since we've seen Cllr Liz MacDonald belly dance but we reckon it's time for a come back. What do you think Liz?

Craft Tonic Wine. Bespoke gin has been all the rage. It's just vodka with a dash of potpourri in a fancy bottle and it's about time someone worked on a craft version of Buckfast.

High Streets. They've been in demise for a long time but we'd like to see them rise again. Remember Saturday mornings when it took you hours to get up the street as you bumped into so many people you knew as you wandered to a coffee morning or a jumble sale.

Harbour parking. It's only been gone for a few weeks but we'd like it back please. Nothing like parking there with a bag of chips, a read of the paper and then a wee snooze.

The big slide. Whoever ordered it to be taken away put it back please.

Market. A regular market in Nairn. We'd like to be able to buy local food such as fruit and veg every week

What trend would you like to see in 2018?

  1. A regular traffic warden to keep the High Street moving once again. (Especially the brae where I have witnessed many times the fire engine not being able to pass badly parked vans and cars)

  2. People coming back to the Gurn instead of reading this appalling fake news *****

    1. Well Graisg, we're flattered that you've read The Spin.
No-one really knows if they're reading fake news these days, we're just proud to be purveyors of such a fine product.
how do we know as to the authenticity of the material published on The Gurn? Here at The Spin we have Donald Trump's blessing for every tweet we make.
Greetings to all Gurn readers, and welcome to the real Nairn news, 3 million readers and counting (this takes us a while)

    4. Newsprint, dunno about that, could all be over by Christmas, I can hardly find any more copies of the Daily Record or the Sun in the blue bins to go on my stove these days.
