Party boat

Spotting a gap in the market the owner of a large vessel moored in the harbour hopes to open a new service later in the year.

Many young people now travel through to Inverness from Nairn for their evening weekend entertainment and the new boat service will offer transport to and from Inverness harbour to Nairn. 

On board the boat will be a bar and also a disco. If successful the service could see evening excursions during the week.

It's hoped that a return journey from Nairn to Inverness could be as little as £10. That's certainly cheaper than a taxi fare.

A timetable has yet to be ratified but it's thought the boat will depart Nairn at around 8:00pm and leave Inverness at 3:00am.

The Spin has been invited on the maiden voyage. We just hope they serve cocoa!
