Firstly a Happy New Year to all our readers, we hope it's a good one for you.
Meanwhile after the revelation over on The Gurn blog that a sink hole has appeared at the beleaguered harbour our research team has been looking into similar events in Nairn.
Back in 2014 this hole appeared just to the west of Nairn (see photo). A coincidence or a conspiracy theory here?

Our most vocal Nairn councillor on the matter of the harbour issue would appear to be Tom Heggie, we await further words of wisdom from him.
We can only hunger for this weeks Nairnshire Telegraph to see if other councillors have deemed the problem worthy of comment. In a world of social media it's sad that we've yet to find anything written by them on the subject, or is The Spin just missing something here? Is Nairn Cllr Sagars for example rabbiting away on twitter and we've just missed his handle?
Buckets of sand may be involved but we could be wrong.
We suspect we'll have to wait a good deal longer for the road to be repaired and reopened at the harbour whatever statements are made.
The well known camper van forum 'Free camper van parking' are now advocating Findhorn Bay or Inverness harbour as alternatives to Nairn harbour. The lack of monies pouring into our town is our loss Nairnites, but who in authority cares?
