Snow need to panic

Social Media is great as it allows people to communicate quickly whereas previously the only platform for news might have been the weekly newspaper.

Rumours of a heavy snow forecast for next week appear to have spread quickly and have been taken seriously by some people.

The Spin has consulted the weather desk and can see that there is the possibility of some snow but we're not sure as to how much.

Much of the supplies that come into the shops in Nairn is dependent upon the A9 being open. It's rare that it's closed for long but it would seen that some panic has set in.

This has seen two stores in Nairn report some bulk buying, namely frozen meals but they report that they have good stocks of fresh fruit and veg and other food stocks and are not expecting a problem with supply.

We hope the snow doesn't come to much and that you all enjoy your hastily purchased haute cuisine.
