The Gurn alerts us to some more  cuts  (see link below). There seems to have been a head in the sand attitude from the public towards the cuts that's led to shock/horror and accusations against Highland Council.

The Spin has never been great fans of the council but in fairness they're just passing on the austerity cuts pushed out by the Westminster government.

There have been calls to cut the freeze on council tax but the deficit would lead to eye watering increases if the council tried to raise monies by this route.

Pay more, get less, with next to no wage increases seems to be the financial formula for the next few years.

Take your own bit of chain/seat if you want to have a swing at your nearest play park.
