Book banking

As Highland Council announce proposed cuts in their budget one enterprising Nairnite is looking at a way to save both the RBS bank and the library.

The idea would be to move the two together so folk could withdraw both a book and money in the same building.

The Royal Bank of Scotland in Nairn is due to close in the summer but it's hoped that by pooling resources both the bank and the library could be saved.

It's possible that a third business could be added to the venture as the Cawdor Street Post Office is currently up for sale.
