Bridge

With the huge influx of people wishing to live in the Highlands, and the increasing popularity of NC 500 as a tourist destination our roads are suffering from congestion.

The Kessock bridge in Inverness is a main artery for the town but suffers all the bottlenecks that a city destination suffers from.

A new proposal is to build a bridge across the firth from Nairn to Cromarty. This would see increased visitors for both areas and ease traffic issues in Inverness.

The route would see roughly seven miles of bridge and would certainly be a tourist destination in itself.
