Fishermen's friend

We're sure that most Nairnites will be aware that we have a certain person that feeds the river birds.

Not just the odd breadcrumb ( as we used to) but tonnes of grain throughout the year.

One such bird that enjoys the river Nairn is the Gooseander.

A report from the river Dee suggests that these birds are eating large quantities of salmon and should be culled.

We've no idea as to the effect the Nairn birds have on fish stocks but feeding wild birds has to be questionable?
