Nairn to twin with Whitby

Nairn is to twin with the town of  Whitby. The plan comes into action after it was discovered the unfortunate number of similarities the two towns had around their harbour areas.

The harbour wall collapsed at Whitby following dredging, cough, we mean a winter storm and there was an attempted repair with a pile of rocks. Sounding familiar?

The harbour at Whitby has been neglected for many years and is in need of extensive repairs.

So far months after the subsidence of the harbour at Nairn we still await any proper repairs to be carried out to the road. All talk and no action, how long will we have to wait?
