Nairnites are to enjoy a new travel service this summer, a chairlift.
The service is aimed at anyone wanting to visit the High Street but not bring their car so avoiding impending parking charges.
Initially the chairlift will be run by Nairn County football supporters who are trying to raise funds for some white paint to mark out their pitch.
A spokesperson stated 'it's a real win win, keeps the lads fit doing the lifting and adds some valuable funds to our coffers'.
If the ride proves successful it's though a local taxi firm will take it over as a green initiative to save the running and fuel costs of a regular taxi.
