An excellent protest held today on the High Street against the Royal Bank closure.
A group of protesters gathered including Drew Hendry MP and cardboard posters were tied to the railings outside the bank.
However, as the protest drew to a close the posters were left with the idea that they'd be taken down later in the day.
Unfortunatly this proved too much for one Nairn resident who took to a popular local Facebook page to complain about the potential for 'mushy litter' that had been left in situ, and worse the signs were 'grammatically disastrous'.
Staff at the Spin have been on many protests and there always seems to one pedant who wants to take issue with the sign that you've hastily assembled.
Still, we can't have soggy cardboard messing with the pristine chewing gum stained pavements of Nairn can we? Probably best we don't protest about anything else closing as the the grammar police will be after us.
We understand that the term for someone who doesn't like protests is a snowflake, seems fitting.
The Gurn (as always) has a report on the protest, those of a sensitive nature shouldn't click on the link and we haven't checked the Gurn article for grammar: http://www.gurnnurn.com/2018/03/stop-rbs-closures-mp-drew-hendry.html
