The media seems to enjoy whipping us up into a frenzy. Strong winds are given human names, storm Senga is on it's way, expect 60mph winds, stay inside.
Years ago when weather forecasts weren't so accurate you would have just been told to expect strong winds and that would have been it.
But now apart from the names we also have colours as warnings too. A few folk did heed them and stayed home recently when it snowed but then found they weren't getting paid.
Weather news has become the stuff of nightmares
