5G for Nairn

Nairn was one of the first towns in the Highlands to enjoy the fibre broadband roll out. It didn't all go smoothly and some areas such as the High Street and Lochloy had to wait years for connection.

It would appear that Nairn is to be first again with 5G rollout that'll double the speed of smartphones etc. 

New phone masts will be built throughout the county with the aim of 100% coverage for all areas, quite some feat.

Fast 5G will benefit locals and tourists alike and may see some people cancel their landline broadband connections.
