The cold spring has delayed plant growth and we're probably at least three weeks behind compared to last year.
At Nairn allotments one enterprising plotter has started planting his annual wine bottle plants.
Apparently given the right conditions the wine will be ready to drink in just twelve weeks.
Nairn is not normally known for wine production (cider and whisky yes). Could this initiative see the start of a new industry, Chateau Nairn anyone?
