Battling the virus

Many local stores are reporting that they're selling out of Jeyes fluid.

The popular cleaning agent has been flying off the shelves and retailers have been struggling to keep up with demand, puzzled as to it's sudden popularity.

The Spin investigation team has been at work and we can reveal that it's all down to an Urban Myth.

A posting on Facebook has become viral suggesting that Jeyes fluid should be applied to door handles to prevent the possibility of being affected by any nerve agents placed there.

This follows the alleged attack by Russians in Salisbury.

It's also been suggested that the fluid can help prevent computer virus attacks and as such folk have been cleaning their computer keyboards and mice with the fluid.

The Spin can find no truth in either suggestion. Victims of the hoax can be easily identified by their somewhat pungent aroma.
