Three reports of aggressive ducks have been reported to the Spin news desk this week.
Duck numbers on the river Nairn have now become so great that male ducks are hunting in packs and attacking passersby.
Despite daily feeding by Nairn's bird man many ducks are now hungry and have forgotten as to how to feed for themselves from weed etc in the river.
Two dog owners have reported that their pets have been nipped by the ravenous birds, and a third person dropped their lunchtime chips whilst being pursued by a gang of the ducks.
In a desperate attempt to find new nesting sites some ducks are now in competition with the gulls in the fishertown and are setting up nests at the top of chimneys etc.
The SSPCA are looking into the issue
