Keep Nairn colourful

The local group Keep Nairn colourful best known for their flower planting are hoping to extend their remit to include the painting of buildings in Nairn.

The idea would be to paint empty properties in Nairn in vivid colours to try and make them more attractive.

The idea is copied from the colourful facades of building to be found at Tobermoray on Mull.

Apart from empty properties Keep Nairn colourful would also be happy to paint occupied buildings as long as the owners bought the paint.

A spokesperson for Keep Nairn colourful said 'we just want to brighten the town up and make a statement. We'd love to be able to paint items such as the two piers at the harbour, or anywhere else that would benefit from a splash of rainbow paint'.

The Spin has agreed to have it's office painted by KNC. Watch this space!
