Lead by example

We were pleased to run into one of Nairn's councillors today who was  emptying out their car at the bottle bank, a fine example of what to do with your empties. It's not often that we see our councillors out and about these days.

Apparently this councillor does this every Monday. We have to say this person appears to like a drink or two judging by their consumption, so be warned if you have any bottles that need recycling of a Monday.

We do wonder if we need more bottle banks in Nairn? Perhaps May's minimum booze price (in Scotland) will quell our drinking habits. Still, with £16K packed in your wallet who knows? (Councillors pay)

Staff at the Spin miss the old recycling facility that was based at Station Park. Much handier than having to trek all the way out the Grantown Road and greener too (fuel).
