Grass in the fields is three to four weeks behind it's normal growth for this time of year and many local farmers are running out of both hay and silage.
The problem is UK wide and not just here in Nairn.
Local farmers are appealing to members of the public should they have any spare bales of hay that they could buy from them, currently it's selling at £35. So have a look in your shed folks!
