Beach tickets

As more and more people move to Nairn and the surrounding area Highland council are looking at charging for beach access during the summer months.

The cash strapped council believe that an access charge would put much needed money in the near empty coffers.

Visitors would be charged £10 per person per day whilst Nairn residents would be able to purchase a yearly pass for just £250.

Beach wardens would patrol the area to enforce the charges and it's possible there may be a combined parking/beach charge at some areas such at the Links car park.
