Nairnshire puddings

Much has been made of some traditional products being rebadged or produced south of the border with the likes of whisky, shortbread and square sausage carrying unionist packaging rather than  showing their true origin.

One Nairn firm has hit back by producing a traditional savoury pudding but giving it Scottish credentials, namely 'Nairnshire puddings'.

A sample at the Spin offices seemed great to us and we really couldn't tell the difference between the Nairnshire puddings and a sample from south of the border.

Where will this food and drink war end? The future demise of our membership of the EU is only likely to make matters worse.

Apart from Nairnshire puddings the Spin team were at a loss to think of any other items we'd like to see produced north of the border although we're sure that in the tradition of fine Scottish food they'd be of high quality.
