Years ago cafes in Nairn used to have names, but now they just have numbers.
When did cafe number culture start and why?
'I'll meet you in 96' doesn't sound very inviting whereas years ago you could have arranged to meet someone in Poppies (a favourite of many Spin staff).
Will the I'm a number not a name spread to other business premises? It might prove popular with posties to have large numbers displayed outside a premise but it doesn't seem very warm or personal.
Would you want to eat at number 13 on a Friday or venture into 666 any day of the week?
That's all from us now at the number 15 office.
