The winning entry in designing a new flag for Nairn has been unveiled showing a no parking design.
The judges thought this best demonstrated how Nairn wanted to be seen in the future, an Eco town where cars would eventually be banned.
No parking charges are controversial and likely to come into force in the new year.
It's thought that initial charges will be £10 for 20 minutes on the High Street and at places such as the Links charges will be weather related. On nice sunny days this could see costs to motorists rise to as much as £20 for 20 minutes.
None of Nairn's parking charges three councillors wanted to comment upon the new flag design
It's hoped that the flag will be flown from several Nairn vantage points in the next few days and will feature in the parade at games day
