Ferry across the firth?

In a surprise move it seems that the M.V. Kenilworth might once again berth in Nairn Harbour.

Nairn's River community council is keen to be considered should further funding be available for ferries post a Brexit no deal and will offer a ferry service for a mere £3M.

It's planned that the ferry service (subject to tide and weather) would run from the pier at Nairn to Invergorden and would be able to carry both passengers and freight.

The purpose of this service isn't clear but apparently that can be worked out once the government has paid RCC the money
